Renovation of a 100,000 s.f. Caldor “box” into a custom Stew Leonard’s Dairy Store. The project posed issues ranging from how to make a plain concrete block front look like a Stew Leonard’s, to supporting the store with adequate refrigerated storage, given the lower ceilings.

Services included design through construction supervision of a new 105,000 sq.ft. store with prototype “Farmer’s Market” entrance encompassing a seasonal area, featured areas for ice cream, pizza, full service liquors, this largest store to date also includes 65,000 sq.ft. of selling space, 36,000 sq.ft. of warehouse, 28,000 sq.ft. food prep area, 10,000 sq.ft. of executive offices, a 120 ft. silo, animal farm and garden center.

Multiple renovations to the “Worlds Largest Dairy Store.” Project includes complete demolition and reconstruction of the deli and fish prep departments. Entire redesign of the produce and dairy departments. New fire alarm and smoke detection systems. Revision to overall store layout to conform to building code exiting requirements. New roof and parking lot revisions,all while the store remained in operation.
